Exporting frames or layers as multiple files

Fireworks can export all layers or all frames in a document as separate image files using a single export command.

To export frames as individual files:

1 Choose File > Export Special > Layers/Frames to Files.
2 Choose Frames in the Files From pop-up menu.
3 Choose Trim Images to automatically crop the exported images to fit the objects on each frame.
If you want to export frames the same size as the document, deselect Trim Images.
4 Enter the base name for each file in the Base Name text box.
5 Choose a destination and click Save (Windows) or Export (Macintosh).

Each frame exports as a separate image using the optimization settings specified in the Optimize panel.

To export layers as individual files:

1 Choose File > Export Special > Layers/Frames to Files.
2 Choose Layers in the Files From pop-up menu.
3 Choose Trim Images to automatically crop the exported images to fit the objects on each layer.
If you want to export the layers the same size as the document, deselect Trim Images.
4 Choose a destination and click Save (Windows) or Export (Macintosh).

Each layer exports as a separate image using the optimization settings specified in the Optimize panel. The name of the layer in the Layers panel determines the file name of each exported file.
